We have over 25 years of coaching experience that went into defining our services.

 

Online Coaching Objectives

  • provide a weekly or monthly bespoke training plan, club sessions where applicable, (e.g. ironman would require additional training)

  • provide strength and core training information, advice and guidance

  • provide members with accurate levels (time and intensity) of training per day/week/month

  • provide structure and periodisation of training bespoke to individual race objectives

  • event(s) specific training/racing advice – sprint, Olympic, middle distance, ironman

  • An annual training plan ( I set this for coaching plans) listing the main A race and other training events leading up to the A race

  • The same software that is used by Team Sky, and lots of other professional cycling teams and pro triathletes

  • Tracking of your training, nutrition and metrics data

  • Upload your workouts from 90+ devices and log routes, power data etc

  • View your workout information however you want.

  • Colour code workouts, easily search through all your logs or even print out

  • mobile tracking on your phone or ipad etc

Have you tried to go it alone with your training? Navigating the ins and outs of training – no matter your race, no matter your goals – is a challenge.

 

As an athlete, you have goals. Whether you want a training plan you can follow independently, you’d like guidance as you work towards your goal or you need a coach to be able to adapt your training schedule for your busy family, work or travel schedule, we have the training option that’s perfect for you.

 

Sound Coaching's athletes come from all sorts of backgrounds. Some are training for a first race, others are ready to take their racing to the next level. Some have ambitious goals of qualifying for a World Championship, others are racing as a means to get or stay healthy and fit.

In terms of online coaching via training peaks I have 3 types of coaching plans available, which all have the following

  • Planning and scheduling of sessions

  • monitoring

  • feedback

  • analysis on training peaks

  • telephone coach contact

  • progress review and feedback

  • nutritional feedback

  • training zones

  • Structured periodisation training 3 or 4 week rolling schedule e.g., easy, medium, hard week then recovery week

  • Personalised and bespoke training sessions for you

  • monthly fitness and benchmarking sessions

  • annual training planning with A. B and C training events,

 

There's also information and coaching advice on how to use power meters and the wattbike, to get the most from it, and how to do the testing, heart rate zones analysis, pedalling technique and efficiency drills.

 

We would work on building your aerobic fitness base, which is in the lower heart rate and power training zones, to improve your recovery, lung capacity, fuel utilisation so you're not always burning carbohydrates and producing lots of lactic acid, and improving your fat burning efficiency

 

There is an initial one off coaching set up fee of £60, which includes a consultation, preparation and analysis of your coaching forms i'd send, and setting up the annual training plan with your events and weekly hours
