The Sound Coaching Dynamic Motion Bike Fitting System
At Sound Coaching we use our combined knowledge of anatomy and physiology and apply this to your bike fitting and positioning.
Using the CompuTrainer’s SpinScan technology we specialise in dynamic bike fitting using our Dynamic Motion system, focussing on improving your efficiency and power for improved ride comfort and / or performance. We assess your current biomechanical status with real time feedback on your pedalling efficiency, and power split between pedals.

The Dynamic Motion Spinscan Bike Fitting Process
Our aim is to ensure that your bike adjusts to fit you, not
your body changing to fit your bike.
Our Dynamic Bike Fitting service uses video analysis
software to interactively measure your posture and
cycling style whilst pedaling on a turbo trainer. This
enables us to understand and adjust your bike setup
to meet your cycling objectives, maximising comfort
and performance.
During a dynamic bike fitting session we will
-
Setup your bike on our Computrainer
-
Analyse your exercise and training / racing History
-
Have a physical assessment of your Posture
-
Look at flexibility issues, and any leg length discrepancies
-
Assess your left and right pedal efficiency
-
Check and assess average power, heart rate, and cadence
-
Assess your left and right power split
-
Assess your average torque angle for each pedal
Perform front view capture & dynamically assess knee and foot behaviour
-
Measure forefoot tilt with Forefoot Measuring Device
-
Recommend Cleat & In Shoe Wedges and Insoles
-
Conduct Second Front View Capture and adjust as necessary
Perform side view capture & dynamically measure the following angles
-
Leg, knee & ankle
-
Torso, hip & arm/wrist
Our most popular product, Lemond Cleat Wedges®, helps eliminate foot "hot spots" and
properly aligns your knees resulting in more power and comfort, determined with the
Computrainer Spinscan technology.
Why use cleat wedges?
Research conducted on cyclist's feet showed that 96% of us have forefeet that are canted or
tilted up to the inside inward ("varus") or outward toward the outside ("valgus"). The vast
majority (87%) of cyclist's feet tilt up to the inside. Unfortunately, almost all cycling shoes,
cleats and pedals take this natural tilt and force it flat. This can generate knee pain, create a
foot "hotspot"(where the inner or outer side of the foot feels hot) and diminishyour ability to
generate power.
