Training Peaks Designed Training Plans

 

What are they?

 

Have a goal in mind, but need some help getting there?

 

These are plans that are pre designed over a number of weeks, e.g. 28 weeks for an ironman plan or an olympic distance tri. they can be set to lead up to a race, or just to cover a set training period, e.g. the base training phase of a half ironman triathlon

Every plan comes with a free TrainingPeaks Personal Edition account. Once you select and purchase a plan it will load into your TrainingPeaks account where can configure it to meet your needs and fit into your schedule. Once you’re up and running (or riding), you can log your workouts to track your progress and make sure you stay on track. After you meet your goal with your training plan, you can reuse it to train for another event or find a new plan to help you reach a new goal. All your data and information remains in your TrainingPeaks account for you to review and learn from.

 

Objectives

 

  • provide a weekly or monthly bespoke training plan, to include Phoenix Triathlon club sessions where applicable, (e.g. ironman would require additional training)

  • provide strength and core training information, advice and guidance

  • provide members with accurate levels (time and intensity) of training per day/week/month

  • provide structure and periodisation of training bespoke to individual race objectives

  • event(s) specific training/racing advice – sprint, Olympic, middle distance, ironman

  • An annual training plan ( I set this for coaching plans) listing the main A race and other training events leading up to the A race

  • The same software that is used by Team Sky, and lots of other professional cycling teams and pro triathletes

  • Tracking of your training, nutrition and metrics data

  • Upload your workouts from 90+ devices and log routes, power data etc

  • View your workout information however you want.

  • Colour code workouts, easily search through all your logs or even print out

  • mobile tracking on your phone or ipad etc

Training plans can be tweaked to suit the individual prior to it being loaded onto their own training peaks account, but once they're loaded thats it, unless I have access to their account, but I have rarely done this.

In terms of reviewing progress this is certainly possible, I will have to think how much time this would take and how often it would be required to work out a price. £20 per time could work

Coaching Plans

 I do online coaching for athletes with Training Bible Coaching Uk, which is owned by Joe Friel, a published writer of many books in the USA.

The coaching prices are currently set centrally, and I can't reduce them for coaching plans as is. These are the most popular for 1-2-1 coaching. they are bronze for £100, silver for £150 or gold for £250 a month.
